2020 Continuing Education

All classes will be on Fridays, and 6-7 CE’s per course, except for CPR. All active members of TKDS are entitled to 6 individual CE passes a year, except for CPR. The registration will be opened 30 days in advance. All registration will be done online, and fees paid at the door.

 CE Passes can be used by staff, WITH PROVIDER PERMISSION. No refunds, no annual holdover passes.

Dr. Gene Santucci is an Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry at the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry (UOP), in San Francisco, CA, teaching part time for almost 30 years.  As a professor in the Department of Integrated Reconstructive Dental Science he teaches classes in esthetics and occlusion. He holds a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from the University of the Pacific. He has balanced dental education with private practice for over 30 years

He has authored several chapters in text books on occlusion and dental esthetics and has published numerous articles in referred dental journals. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the topics of Sleep Disorders, Dental Esthetics, Dental Occlusion, Ergonomics, Temporomandibular Disorders and Dental Photography.

Dr. Marc Geissberger was born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County. He attended Marin Catholic High School. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California. After completing his undergraduate degree he attended the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991. While in dental school he served as class president his first two years and as student body president during his final year. Additionally, he was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Tau Kappa Omega dental honor societies for scholastic excellence. In 1994 Dr. Geissberger earned a Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of the Pacific School of Education

Dr Geissberger teaches several continuing education courses for fellow practitioners. He has presented 350 lectures and hands-on workshops to colleagues in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Peru and Taiwan. He has co-authored and published numerous scientific papers and a textbook entitled Esthetic Dentistry in Clinical Practice for Wiley-Blackwell. Additionally, he is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine

Forensic Dentistry Update, Dispelling The CSI Effect.

Anthony R. Cardoza, DDS, is a 1985 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School and maintains a general dental practice in El Cajon, Calif. He is a forensic dental consultant for the County of San Diego Office of the Medical Examiner, County of Imperial Office of the Coroner, State of California Department of Justice, the California Emergency Management Agency (CalEMA) and is the director of the California Dental Identification Team (CalDIT).

Dr. Cardoza maintains a busy forensic caseload due to the San Diego and Imperial Counties proximity to the Mexican border. He has performed numerous postmortem dental examinations, comparisons and identifications and most recently was involved with the identifications of victims of the Southern California wildfire disasters.

Also, Dr. Cardoza lectures throughout the United States and Canada at regional and local dental conferences on the topics of forensic dentistry and lasers in dentistry.
